| Racer's Thrill I was taking out my souped up car fire down its side tearing up the gray washed road Going for a ride. Spike side wheels, screeching loud dodging all the cars digging up the main street road leaving jagged scars. Fifteen minutes and a disco light flashing its refrain coupled with a ragged tune sounding its disdain. Soon I play cat and mouse with the local cops dancing past the rhythmic tune of their rusty locks. The promise of a cell just for me! Soon it fades away as our brief rendezvous grows distant and night becomes day. Weary beast and insane king creep back into their lair sleeping through the last of day waiting for another midnight fair. |
